According to the Korean media, Samsung is expecting to sell only about 260 million smartphones this year. The company had originally planned to manufacture 334 million smartphone units in 2022, with a sales target on 300 million units. But in May, it reduced the target by ten percent to 270 million. This was around a time when the Russia-Ukraine war and the coronavirus lockdowns in China started impacting the supply chains....
This is an impressive feat for Samsung. Only the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy S8 have the distinction of reaching 1 million sales volume at a faster pace. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 reportedly had the upper hand among the two, accounting for 70% of the total sales. The Korea Herald quotes Samsung saying that roughly 54% of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 buyers were millennials or from Generation Z....

According to the report, 69 percent of the surveyed store representatives said that the Galaxy S22 phones are seeing greater demand than the Galaxy S21 trio last year.
